PropertyFox Neighbourhood Insights – Feb 2018
February is said to be the month of love. At PropertyFox, we choose to dub it as the month of ‘Hot Property’.
Buyers fell more in love with some of our sought-after properties than with the thought of roses and candy. Viewings scheduled were at an all time high during February 2018, even with the threat of the water crisis looming over Cape Town, many still chose to call the Mother City home with our top areas of the month including Rondebosch and Sea Point. Outside of the Mother City, other top areas for the month included Pretoria and Magaliesburg.
Viewings of properties for the month of February were 25% higher than our previous record. One of the properties had a total of 62 viewings scheduled within 24 hours, and an offer to purchase was placed within just three days of the listing going to market.
The Importance of viewings
It is easy to fall in love with a property at first sight online, and buying a house can be seen as one of the most important events of your life. Viewings play a crucial role before placing an offer to purchase and, at PropertyFox, we make sure that both the seller and buyer are involved in the process.
Our seamless, unique buyer screening and 24/7 instant scheduling method makes sure that you get the best out of the process. Viewings are hosted by the sellers themselves, which we consider as the ultimate personal touch, as “nobody knows your home like you do”. Sellers can feel secured in the knowledge that all buyers are pre-screened, and we verify all potential buyers through the thisisme.com platform before setting up viewings around the sellers’ schedule. Our proprietary “FoxDash” platform allows sellers to set their availability at their convenience in advance of any viewings, and at times that are most suitable to their schedules.
PropertyFox also does all the negotiations between buyers and sellers, assisting both sides to feel that the process is objective and therefore both sides can get the most out of the process.
All prospective buyers are urged to act immediately when they see the house of their dreams, as losing out could be as easy as one, two or three days!
